TradeAgency.ca is a Canadian B2B marketing and business consulting service for the companies that supply the trades: manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and buying groups that sell to contractors. The brand belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, runs from its Vancouver, British Columbia headquarters, and answers to Ali Sedighi, MBA. We are a marketing service only. We are not a contractor, and we don't install, repair or service any equipment or product.

Why this brand exists

Most marketing agencies treat suppliers as either generic B2B companies or as e-commerce shops. Neither fits. A distributor's customer is a tradesperson who orders weekly, values the counter staff, and switches suppliers over a single bad week of stock-outs. A manufacturer's real sales force is often the installer network.

The Sedighi.ca group already runs Trades.Agency, which markets contractors themselves. That work gives us an unusual view: we see how contractors search for parts, how they pick brands to recommend, and what makes them trust or drop a supplier. TradeAgency.ca turns that view around and puts it to work for the supply side.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads TradeAgency.ca. His background, in brief:

  • MBA in Technology Management.
  • 17+ years of experience in digital marketing, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency.
  • 150+ live HVAC websites built, including CombiBoiler.ca, BoilerPart.ca, HeatLand and HVACDeal.ca.
  • Founded MyAutomation.ca and the conversion-rate optimisation agency Conv.ca, and is Founder & Managing Partner at SAZ.ca.
  • Clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

He lives and works in Vancouver. His HVAC work matters here because heating and cooling is one of the most product-heavy trades: parts catalogues, equipment brands, utility rebates and installer networks are everyday material for him.

The group behind us

Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company for growth, marketing and technology. Under that roof you'll find TradeAgency.ca's parent Trades.Agency, along with HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and the CRO shop Conv.ca.

SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the group's Canadian strategy firm. Ali founded it, and it advises on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, with Sedighi.ca providing strategic leadership.

For a supplier, that means one team can help with marketing, sales process and conversion work without you hiring three separate firms.

How we work

We keep the process plain:

  1. We listen first. The first call is about your channel: who buys, how they order, where the friction is. No pitch deck.
  2. We fix what costs the most. If branch listings are wrong, we don't start with a brand video. Priorities follow money.
  3. We report in your terms. Accounts opened, reorders, dealer activity and inquiries by branch, not just traffic charts.
  4. You own everything. Your website, ad accounts, analytics and content belong to you, and plans run month to month.
  5. We say what we can't do. We don't give legal, engineering or code-compliance advice, and we don't promise rankings or lead counts. Where a regulator or program administrator is the right source, we link to them and tell you so.

What a first engagement looks like

A typical first engagement with a supplier runs about 90 days. In the first month we audit the channel: branch listings, catalogue pages, locator data, ad accounts and how inquiries reach your people. In the second month we fix the biggest problem we found and set up tracking so you can see the effect. By the third month you have a baseline, a working fix and a short list of what to tackle next, with costs attached.

We ask for one internal owner on your side, usually a marketing coordinator or sales manager, and about an hour a week of their time. Branch managers and reps get short, specific requests rather than long meetings.

Where we work

We work with suppliers across all ten provinces and three territories, adjusting for each market's contractor licensing, product mix, language rules and seasons. Our areas page has a summary for every region.

What we won't claim

You won't find invented client logos, made-up reviews or self-awarded badges here. Our published results come from our HVAC work, and the results page explains which parts of them carry over to a supplier. If you want to talk it through, see how to contact us or check pricing first.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns TradeAgency.ca?

TradeAgency.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company, and its brands include Trades.Agency, HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.

Where are you based?

We are headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and work with suppliers across Canada. Supplier consultations run online by video call or in person, as well as by phone, text and email.

Who will actually do our work?

Strategy is led by Ali Sedighi. You talk to a senior strategist from the first conversation, not a salesperson who hands you off.

Why focus on suppliers rather than contractors?

Our sister brand Trades.Agency already serves contractors. Working on both sides shows us how contractors choose suppliers, and that is what we bring to manufacturers and distributors.
